Express Funded Account™ FAQ

Topstep® provides an alternative to the Funded Account® after completing the Trading Combine®. This option is called the Express Funded Account™. Only one funded-level account can be active at one time.

Is this available to everyone?

Currently, the Express Funded Account™ is a pilot program with limited seats so it is not available to everyone. We are hopeful of making this available to all traders sometime in the future but do not have a set timeline on when this would happen. However, we do still offer the Pro Account® which has lots of the same benefits, so if the Express Funded Account™ is not available we hope you are able to take advantage of the Pro Account®!

Can I switch to the live Funded Account at any time?

We want traders to get some good momentum in their Express Funded Account™. Therefore, you would not be able to move to a live account at any time. However, our Risk Managers are closely monitoring traders in the Express Funded Account™ and will reach out when they believe you should be moved to live. This will vary for each trader on a case-by-case basis based on performance and consistency.  

What are the fees?

There is no monthly charge for your Express Funded Account™. If your platform was free in the Trading Combine® it would be free in the Express Funded Account™ as well. If you were paying a monthly charge for your platform you would continue to pay that charge.

How long does it take to receive my Express Funded Account™?

You should receive your credentials within 1-2 business days after submitting your agreement. 

What are the rules for the Express Funded Account™? What happens if I break a rule?

The Express Funded Account™ rules are calculated the same as Step 2 of the Trading Combine®. There are no targets in the Express Funded Account™.

If you break a rule in the Express Funded Account™, you will receive a detailed email after the Trade Reports are updated with the next steps. Additional information about Rule Violations can be found here. 

How do I request a payout? 

Traders can request a payout of up to 50% of their account balance after accumulating five winning trading days per payout request. A winning trading day is counted when a day’s Net PNL is $100 or more. Additional information about the Express Funded Account™ Payout Policy can be found here. 

What Happens When I Transfer to the Live Markets?

When Topstep® determines that a trader has shown consistent success in the Express Funded Account™ you will receive an email to transfer to a live account. At that time, the Express Funded Account™ will be closed in order to transfer funds and open the live account.

The full balance of the Express Funded Account™ will be the starting balance of the subsequent live account. If you are eligible for a payout at the time of the transfer you can request a payout.

How we use your data?

The Express Funded Account is a new simulated account that allows you to earn from your trading, without additional fees. This account speeds up your time to earning(get started in two business days!)while allowing Topstep to more effectively manage risk.

Your trades inform our live prop firm trades and we both earn real money.
