  1. Launch your choice of Tradovate supported platform:
  2. Enter the username sent to you in your “Welcome to Topstep” email using the same password created for your Topstep Dashboard. (Please note, your username and password are case-sensitive, and your username will always be all lower-case.) Then select a Trading Mode based on your account type. 

    If you are in a Trading Combine® or Express Funded Account- select the green option ‘Login to the Simulated Environment’ 

    If you are in a Live Funded Account or Premium Funded Account®, select the blue option ‘Start Trading Now'

    (If you receive an "account not specified" error message after logging in to Tradovate, you will need to log out and retry making sure to use the correct credentials and environment)

Important to note:

*Always verify that you’re in the intended account before trading. (the default account shown after log-in will vary based on account and device activity and may not be the same every time you log in. You can view the current account at the top-center of the platform under the Accounts drop-down. It is located to the left of your current account equity.

If you are unable to see an account name or have multiple trading accounts and cannot switch between them, please click here to adjust the privacy setting in the platform.


The scheduled maintenance window for Tradovate is Friday 8:30 PM - 9:15 PM CT. During this time, if you purchase a Reset or Trading Combine®, you may receive an account creation error during this time.


What is included in my Tradovate platform?

Topstep accounts provide the following:

  • Tick Stream
  • Market Replay
  • Tradingview Add-On
  • Advanced Charting
  • Community & Free Indicators

**Some volume-related indicators and features will require Level 2 Data. 

Topstep accounts do not provide the following:

  • API Access

  • Order Flow+

  • Ability to connect to the NinjaTrader platform

What operating systems is the Tradovate platform compatible with?

The Tradovate platform is compatible with the following:

  • Windows 7 or higher
  • Mac 10.10 or higher
  • iPhone 5 or higher
  • iPad 3 or higher
  • Android 5.0 or higher
  • Browsers:
    • Chrome-Version 35.0 or higher
    • Safari (Mac and iPhone only)-7.0 or higher
    • Microsoft Edge-All versions
    • Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11)
    • Firefox Version 33.0 or higher 

How can I change the month or year for a contract? 

You can change the month or year of a contract within your quotes by right-clicking on the quote to roll forward or backward depending on the contract month/year you are looking for.

You can now right-click in the new contract and drag any modules you would like to add to your layout (DOM or chart).

If you have Link to Quotes enabled on your chart, it will automatically update the chart when you click on the new contract's quote.
